GREG STOBBS

Greg Stobbs aka Squirl, is a freelance illustrator and street artist working in the South East. He takes
inspiration from the hard graphic lines used in graffiti alongside the scrawled naive lines used in child art.

Squirl uses spray paint, paint pens and multi layered stencils to develop large scale live works, and pieces for exhibition and sale. He spends most days drawing and using the computer to create unique characters set within their own stories. They often appear 'cute' at first glance, but have a slightly sinister undertone.

Squirl has over 10 years experience of running arts projects and street art/Graffiti workshops in schools,
also working with students with physical and learning disabilities and those that are no longer involved in
formal education.

Squirl can be commisioned to facilitate workshops for people of all ages, create bespoke artworks, deliver lectures or work during events creating live art. See below for details:

STREET ART & GRAFITTI WORKSHOPS - A variety of different street art and grafitti workshops can be offered to students from ten years up to those in further and higher education.

Workshops can include stencil, freestyle, garment customisation, alphabet, letter form, scaling up, character design and spray can control techniques. Students are offered a complete set of street art skills and a chance to learn in a very different way - using a whole new range of tools and materials. Workshops can result in a final exhibition or a large scale mural designed and created by the students in collaboration with the artist.

Workshops can be used alongside curriculum themes mthrough which pupils will recognise cross curricular links. or unique projects can be developed alongside teaching staff specifically targeting particular student groups.
